Ottawa River Power Corporation (ORPC) has filed an application with the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to adjust electricity distribution rates effective May1st, 2025. The estimated overall impact of this application would result in additional yearly savings for an average customer of $37 for residential and $60 for small businesses. Although monthly distribution rates for an average customer have increased by $1 for residential and $5 for small businesses, the amendment to Ontario Regulation 429/04, which allowed for the removal of GA charges on Waltham’s energy supply, continues to pass more savings onto ORPC customers and offsets all other increases.

The application and evidence are available for review on the OEB website: ORPC Rate Application EB-2024-0050
