For our residential customers who are interested in applying for CEAP (COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program), the provision that the applicant must be in receipt of CERB or EI benefits on March 17, 2020 has been removed. The requirement now is that the applicant be either in receipt of CERB or EI benefits at any point after March 17, 2020. In addition, customers who made partial payments on their bills prior to March 17, are also now eligible to apply for CEAP.

For our small business owners and registered charity customers, the eligibility criteria have been updated so that more customers may qualify for CEAP-SB. Small business customers who made partial payments in early 2020, for amounts owing on their bills prior to March 17, are now eligible to apply for CEAP-SB.

As CEAP-SB funding is limited, applying does not guarantee that Ottawa River Power has CEAP-SB funding remaining. Applications will be processed in the order they are received.
